David Beckham

David Beckham, the famous soccer player of England and husband of the ex-spice girl, Victoria Beckham, not only has the ‘kicks’ but also ‘balls’ to flaunt his love through the numerous tattoos on his body. This 30+ superstar has a great collection of tattoos. He has made his body a canvas and has been displayed in all the magazines and ad campaigns. The Manchester tattoo artist, Louis Malloy, is the one who has worked on most of David’s tattoos. Louis charges David the same as his other clients; except when he is flown from the UK to Madrid or Spain, or wherever David wants.

David’s back and torso have many inked works, which have been completed over many years. His lower back has his elder son’s name, Brooklyn, written on it, as well as the name Romeo, his second son, inscribed just below his neck. His third son’s name, Cruz, bears a winged image. Between David’s shoulder blades of David lies a guardian angel tattoo. Larger wingers were later added.

During the 2004 UEFA Championship had Louis Malloy tattoo the back of his neck with a winged cross. The newest additions to his collection are Chinese characters, located very close to his heels. From his left forearm to his torso, the Mandarin Chinese lines, ‘Death and life have determined appointments, riches and honours. Depend upon heaven.’ These were inscribed in Hong Kong.

His left arm seems to be dedicated to his wife, Victoria Beckham – Posh Spice. He has her name written in the Indian language of Hindi script. Below it is a Latin phrase, “Ut Amem Et Foveam” and a Hebrew phrase above Victoria’s name. An image of Brigitte Bardot was tattooed for his wife on his left forearm, with the line “Forever by your side,” “till deaths do us apart.” While in Dubai in the year 2008, December, David Beckham flaunted his upper left arm image of a cherub, dedicated to his son, along with the Hebrew phrase “My son, do not forget my teaching but keep my commands in your heart.”

His right forearm is dedicated to his career. It contains his team number, 7, in a Roman numeral. The Latin phrase meaning spiritual perfection is also inscribed on his right arm with guardian angels.
